Still playing in the second tier, Ilija Sivonjic enjoyed a decent career in the Croatian top flight during his pomp, scoring a fair amount of goals for Inter Zapresic and Dinamo Zagreb between 2007 and 2010.
However, it was his inability to find the back of the net from less than a football’s width out which has seen Sivonjic attain Youtube immortality – specifically this absolute rotter of a miss against HNK Cibalia in 2009.
With a slightly mis-hit ball looping over the goalkeeper and destined to nestle in the back of the Cibalia net, Sivonjic came steaming in to apply the coup de grace…
