Retro Football: Pele’s ‘Most Beautiful Goal’ Recreated By Naff Computer Simulation, As No Actual Footage Exists (Video)

We’ve no idea from where or whence this emanates, but here’s a charmingly ropey computer simulation of the ‘most beautiful goal’ Pele ever scored – which has had to be recreated digitally as no actual footage exists.

The apocryphal goal was scored by Pele for Santos against Juventus in 1959, with Brazilian striker ‘chapeau-ing’ the ball over two defenders and the keeper before nudging the ball into the net with his head, all without the ball so much as bouncing once – according to those in attendance, anyway.

Looks like it was recreated using Actua Soccer 2, so kudos to whoever’s responsible!
